They are natural and solid.
Some are for the professional opal cutter; others for the amateur lapidary who wants to learn to cut opal without breaking the bank.
Some have been roughly preformed, others rough-hewed. Some have their face fully or partly opened (rubbed).
To capture the colour, some of them have been photographed in water.
You will need a "Dremel" or "Foredom" type of tool to remove the mother rock covering the seam of opal on the partly opened stones.
